S’i’grn Balik (Shin-Gurn Bay-lick)
a true Jedi Guardian Master Sentinel Shadow with twin dark yellow blades
A direct descendant of two Star-People, true Jedi Master and head of the Shadow arm of the order, was born into humble circumstances. His father was a cobbler and his mother was a milk-maid, living out their quiet lives in a remote village where their ancestry was not known. Young S’i’grn, however, showed a peculiar affinity for the force and caught the attention of an itinerant master in the village. He convinced the boy’s parents to allow him to take S’i’grn to his monastery and teach him the ways of the ancient Jedi order. Promising a small stipend to the family and a reminder of their ancestry sealed the deal and S’i’grn began the process of learning the Jedi way in a hidden school in distant Bei-Had. Upon reaching 13, he was not immediately taken as a Padawan and enterred the service corps, assigned to secretly infiltrate the Eternal Pit. Sorely tempted on many occasions to go over to the dark side, even directly by a Sith Knight, S’i’grn nevertheless withstood his trials and eventually brought about the destruction of a cell there and even facilitated the redemption of a Sith of Dark Human extraction. Determined not to continue in the Eastern countries, he gave all of his knowledge to the order by way of a mindscan that lasted several weeks and then moved on to a new monastery. His ordeal had earned him the title of Padawan to a Master at the new monastery in Animen and he spent a short time in driven frenzy to become a knight. He remained under the tutelage of the old master for a few more years and then went to seek a new Padawan. He had several. His third Padawan was Naze’en Varz’, during the training of which he became a Master and progressed to true mastery of the Jedi way. He now talks about becoming attached to the chaotic courts of Animen in an attempt to keep their war-like tendencies turned to a positive end. This hope is challenged by the fall of the Tower in the Wilderness and its subsequent choice to make Lord S’i’grn its Master.
